On Thanksgiving, Santa Claus and Waldo Elf were blasted into orbit aboard The Santa Shuttle, an unfinished spaceship! While they are safe, they can't land yet. Santa is using his Wow-wee-whipper-do computer to stay in touch with everyone at the North Pole. With only 11 days left until Christmas Eve, the elves are racing to figure out how to bring Santa back in time!
Toy Production Behind Schedule
Toy production is far behind schedule this year. "This is the worst I’ve seen in 116 years, 11 months, 2 days, 3 hours, and 18 minutes!" reported Adamup Elf, Santa's Chief Toy Counter. "Without the Appendapulator, we won't make it by Christmas!"
"It's all these action figures and video games," grumbled Toby Elf, Santa's Chief Toy-making Elf. "They’re not easy to make! If we went back to wooden trains and teddy bears, we’d be fine. And if that dingblasted Waldo hadn’t shot himself and Santa into orbit, we’d be okay!"
Gizmo Elf, Santa's Chief Inventor, scratched his head with a funny-looking tool. "I’d happily switch the Appendapulator back to toy-making if someone promises to deliver all the toys we make. But if I stop now, the rocket won’t be ready to get Santa back before Christmas Eve!"
What Will the Elves Do?
What should the elves do at the North Pole? Even if Santa makes it back in time, will Waldo still be welcome? Keep reading the North Pole Times to find out!
